I learned a lot of things about Islam last class. My impression to Moslem is totally different. I often see articles and news about Moslem. Always, they say bad information, such as terrorism by only part of people in Islam, so the bad infromation tends to bring people to think Moslam is very scary relision. When I was in U.S, some of my friends are Moslem. Honestly, I first thought they might be dangerous. But, they were so kind, friendly and helpful!!! I was very very sorry I had wrong ideas about them... We should have careful ears and eyes when we see and listen to the media. And, we should notice that we are easily influenced by stereotypes.
HW for next class
1. How do you greet people in your life? Is it different for different people? Why?
I usually bow to older people to show respect, and say just 'Hi.' to parents and friends. There are different greeting among age, sex, social positions.
2. Do you touch people when you talk to them? Why? Or Why not?
To my close friends, I sometimes touch them like hug. For example, when I'm very excited or happy. Because it's one of ways to express my feeling. But, I never touch older people and acquaintances because they might feel bad if I touch them.

Excellent comments. I am glad you were changed by Kathy's speech. I was too!
I completely agree with your opinion about Moslim people!! It's totally bad to look at people by their religion or where they are from. Sometimes we need to doubt what media say.
I agree too, its always best to think for yourself and not just listen to what you hear on the news. There's always more to the story than what you see at first.
I totally agree. We have to care about media. Its not everything what media say. So its important to see carefully.
I absolutely agree with you, too!! We have to know that prejudice causes misunderstanding and excusive situation. We are lucky because we can learn a lot of precious things cross culture!!
